Lt. Gen. Obiakor

Lt. Gen. Obiakor, (Rtd.)

Lieutenant General Obiakor is a graduate of the National War College, Nigeria. He obtained a Master of Science degree in strategic studies from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and has participated in numerous international military courses.

Lt. Gen. Obiakor, (Rtd.) started his military career with the Nigerian Army in 1973. He has served as the Commander of the Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group (ECOMOG) Artillery Brigade in Liberia (1996 and 1997), the ECOMOG Chief Coordinator of the Liberian elections in July 1997, and as the General Officer Commanding, Second Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army. He also held the position of Chief of Administration of the Nigerian Army, in charge of the welfare, discipline and medical services for all Nigerian military personnel.

He is the highest ranking Nigerian soldier to serve the United Nations as Mili¬tary Adviser for peacekeeping op¬erations. This was in 2008. Before then, he was the Force Command¬er of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), a position UN Secretary-General Kofi An¬nan appointed him to in January 2006. No less a soldier’s soldier, he also served longest in recent memory, as a General in the Nige¬ria Army.

For standing tall in a very challenging environment and delivering 38 years of sterling, disciplined service to his fatherland in the Nigeria Army; for lifting the image of Nigeria in the international arena of military service through quality, exemplary interventions and honourable conduct which earned both himself and Nigeria recognition from the international commu¬nity, Lt. He joined the Indian Navy from 01 Jan 1983 to 10 May 2006 in numerous prestigious appointments as Sr. Manager in Nuclear Submarine Project, HR-Head of Naval Ships Repair Yard, Training Design Commander at Naval College of Engineering and School for Naval Airman 2. Corporate Experience since 15 May 20006 in Corporate Security. Chief Superintendent (Ret.) Asher Ben Artzi

Following 34 years of service with the Israel Security Agency (ShinBet) and with the Israel National Police, Chief Superintendent Asher Ben Artzi has retired to civilian life. He has a M.A. degree in Administration from Haifa University.

During his tenure with the Israel National Police, he served as the Director of the Security Department and then the Director of INTERPOL & International Operations. In this post, Chief Superintendent Ben Artzi administered and directed the Israel Police Interpol Division and was responsible for the interchange of criminal intelligence with other international police services and with intelligence agencies dealing with drugs and organized crime.

Chief Superintendent Ben Artzi’s duties, regarding international drugs and organized crime included extraditions and criminal activities of Israeli citizens abroad, legal assistance to foreign police representatives in Israel and legal assistance from foreign police and intelligence agencies of other countries.

In the above position he cooperated with the Federal Agencies of the US ( FBI, DEA, Secret Service) and other agencies all over the world. He was in charge of the Attaches in Washington and Los Angeles. He also represented the Israel National Police to the Roman Catholic Church in the state of Israel.

Chief Superintendent Ben Artzi commanded and was in-charge of the Israel National Police attaches and representatives overseas and responsible for liaison and communication with foreign police and intelligence agencies servingy in Israel.
